Precision Instrument Co.(PIC) was established in November 1969 in Mumbai, a historical business centre and financial capital of India. It is located in a landmark area called A-Z Industrial Estate in the heart of the city, very easily approachable and well connected to the main arterial roads Of Mumbai.

PIC was started as partnership company by the Gwalani Group. This business house had by then already merited the distinction of pioneering the manufacture of Pneumatic control valves, Flow switches, Level switches, Diaphragm type safety relief valves, Air filter cum pressure regulating valves which were known in the Indian market by the brand name of "Flowell" distributed by well known company of Blue Star Ltd.

The rich experience gained in development of engineering and manufacturing these import substitution in those early years (1970's) lead to the logical extension of forming Precision Instrument Company.

Precision Instrument Co. perfected the art of designing SOV's & FCPR's in India, which was until then dominated by only foreign brands. These were marketed under the brand name of Flocon, today after three decades of presence in the Indian market, the Flocon brand is reckoned with the topmost standards of Quality and Reliability.
